JWK College Counseling is changing its name to Student Pathways to showcase that we do more than just college counseling. Whether it’s applying to semester programs, private middle and high schools, or assistance while at college, Student Pathways is here to help.

Mission

To make a difference in the lives of students and families, during what can be a stressful time, helping students and their families through the college admission process; one step at a time. We assist each student individually, making a positive impact on the student through honest and ethical advice helping them find a school that matches their personality and goals.

Why Student Pathways?

The college application and selection process is one of the first major decisions you will make in conjunction with your child as they enter into adulthood. Meeting your child where ‘they’re at’ along with discerning their individual strengths and weaknesses is our specialty. Through our experience we realize that our passion isn’t standardized— it isn’t as simple as throwing together a list and pressing submit. Rather its an innate understanding of each student and families corresponding priorities.

Sarah Charron

Counselor

Sarah enjoys helping students through the college selection process by following a systematic process of evaluating each individual's interests and strengths and finding colleges where they will thrive on campus.  As an application reviewer for the Switzer Foundation for seven years, she learned the importance of reflective personal statements and how a competitive holistic review process can work to an applicant's advantage.

Sarah witnessed first-hand the complexity of the changing college admissions landscape during the pandemic with her son.  She has found that her background as a licensed Environmental Engineer equips her with an analytical mindset that helps distill relevant information distinct to each college applicant.

Sarah serves on the Board of the Cohasset Conservation Trust and oversees National Honor Society Students at Cohasset High School maintaining trails on Trust properties.  She also served on the Cohasset Conservation Commission, Community Preservation Committee, and Cohasset Stormwater Committee.  She worked for 10 years as a consulting engineer for MWH and CDM Smith. She has a B.Sc. in Biology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley.  She lives in Cohasset with her husband and two children.

Christina Skeldon

Counselor

Christina Skeldon earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from Quinnipiac University and her Master's in School Counseling from New York University. After graduating, she worked in college admissions in Boston where she learned the ins and outs of the application and admissions process. She then decided to combine her passion for helping youth in a social and emotional capacity with her love for college admissions by becoming a guidance counselor at a local high school for seven years.

After having her two boys, Christina craved a flexible work schedule with the ability to continue working with high school students. She began working as a college consultant for JBG Educational Group in Medfield and was excited to join Student Pathways on the South Shore where she lives. Her approach pulls from both her experience and education to create and implement an individualized plan for each of her clients.

Christina resides in Marshfield with her husband and two boys, Chase and James.
